Australia Network is broadcast in a number of ways throughout the region and our list of providers is expanding. The map to the right shows where we currently broadcast and the ways you can watch us are detailed below. Our television service is provided free to air via satellite but often the most convenient way to watch us is via a local rebroadcaster. To find the one nearest you, select your area from the drop down list and contact the rebroadcaster directly for information. |

You can watch Australia Network using your own satellite dish and digital decoder. Australia Network is broadcast free on both the IS-8 and IS-2 satellites. Each carries the television service plus Radio Australia's English and regional language broadcasts. To find out which satellite applies to your area use the drop down list above. From February 2006 some of our programs will be broadcast via an encrypted signal. To find out how to watch our encrypted programs please read our Encryption section. Australia Network has agreements with many cable TV providers around the region, who rebroadcast the channel. In most cases you will not need any additional equipment and your local cable TV provider will install the cable directly into your home. Contact your nearest provider for details. Some local rebroadcasters offer Australia Network via satellite rather than cable to your home. If you subscribe to this type of service your subscription fee should include rental of the satellite equipment. Many apartment blocks have a communal distribution system for satellite and terrestrial TV and radio signals. These will have been installed for shared use. Contact your building manager for more details about whether or not they pick up Australia Network. Satellite reception details for Australia Network can be found here if required.In hotels
Many four and five star hotels around the region carry Australia Network. Please contact your preferred hotel for further information. |
