Team Info
Super14 Logo Super 14 Rugby consists of five teams from New Zealand, five from South Africa and four from Australia. Each team plays all the other teams once during the yearly tournament. Bonus points are given to any team scoring four tries or more, putting the emphasis on strong attacking rugby.

The Series was previously called the Tooheys New Super 12 Rugby Series and commenced in 1996. At this time, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa formed SANZAR (South African, New Zealand and Australian Rugby) to administer the annual provincial 12 team competition between the three countries.

The Canterbury Crusaders from New Zealand are the most successful Super 14 team, having won five times throughout the eight year competition.
