New Zealand's Nesian Mystik takes Polynesian culture and gives it a sound that's all their own with a combination of hip hop, reggae, rap and soulful harmonies.

The band's first album, "Polysaturated", debuted on the charts at number 1. Four tracks became top ten hits.

In 2009, the band won Best Kiwi at the MTV Australia awards, voted by the music channel's viewers across Australia and New Zealand.

Nesian Mystik has a reputation for high energy live performances. Here they're working the crowds at Auckland's annual Pasifika festival.
