Charlotte Glennie, China Correspondent
Charlotte Glennie is based in Beijing where she is the Australia Network's China Correspondent.
 
Previously Charlotte set up a Hong Kong-based Asia bureau for Television New Zealand and worked as their first Asia Correspondent.

Charlotte has file reports for news and current affairs from some of the region's most inaccessible places, including the far west of Mongolia, the mountains of northern Laos and North Korea.

She has reported on the HIV-AIDS problem in China's Xinjiang region, floods in Bangladesh and political rallies in Taiwan. Charlotte was awarded a special service medal for her coverage of the 2004 Indian Ocean Boxing Day Tsunami - after reporting on the aftermath from Indonesia, Thailand and Sri Lanka.

She was also awarded New Zealand's Supreme Award for Television Journalism for her reports, and for her general contribution to coverage of Asian news.

Charlotte has a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Drama.
