Solomons MP Charles Dausabea jailed 07/07/2008
19:12:52

Prominent Solomon Islands member of parliament, Charles Dausabea, has begun a jail sentence in prison in Honiara.

The East Honiara MP last Friday lost his High Court Appeal against his earlier sentence by the Magistrates Court.

Mr Dausabea could still appeal his case at the Solomon Islands Court of Appeal.

But unless any appeal is successful, he has now effectively lost his parliamentary seat.
