The US President, George W Bush, has arrived in Japan for the Group of Eight summit of leading industrial nations.

North Korea's nuclear weapons program, soaring oil and food prices and climate change are expected to top the agenda.

Mr Bush headed to bilateral talks with the Japanese Prime Minister, Yasuo Fukuda, after his arrival.

Later this week he will also hold one-on-one talks with the leaders of Russia, China, Germany, India and South Korea.
