China's capital, Beijing has undergone major changes to prepare itself for the Paralympic Games. The Games opening ceremony will take place tonight, as Amanda Morgan reports from Beijing. Beijing is ready. More hotels, restaurants and banks have wheelchair access, and 22 of the city's hospitals have completed reconstruction projects. Tourist attractions such as the Great Wall of China and the Forbidden City now provide access for people with a disability, and specially-equipped taxis and buses are on the roads. Wang Wei from the Beijing Organising Committee for the Olympic games says these changes are only the beginning. About four-thousand athletes with a disability will compete in the Paralympic Games.
