Protesters in Thailand have clashed with police on the fourth day of mass demonstrations to topple Prime Minister Samark Sundaravej.

Riot police entered the government compound where thousands of protesters have been camped out since Tuesday.

The Prime Minister has ordered police not to use violence to end the demonstrations.

He says police entered the compound to post a court eviction order, not to disperse the crowd.
