04/03/2008 20:50:31 Vietnamese ship hits two Japanese destroyers
Japan
In Depth

A Vietnamese-registered freighter has hit two Japanese destroyers at a port in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.

Officials of the Japanese defence ministry's Maritime Staff Office say no one was injured in the accident.

They say the freighter Hailong-45 first hit the Matsuyuki, then two minutes later hit the Hamayuki.

The Hamayuki collided the previous day with a Cambodian cargo ship in the same port area.

Neither of the ships was damaged.
