In the final episode of Series One, Weiping from China joins a football cheer squad, Nimit from India learns to sail on Sydney Harbour, and a bunch of guests from the series get together for the first time over a barbecue and share stories of their experiences.
Each episode is split into 3 parts and is accessible from the player above. When each part is complete it will automatically play the next video.
Weiping knows nothing about Australian Rules Football, and the best way to learn is to meet the passionate supporters who make up a footy cheer squad. She goes along to the Sturt Football Club to help with making their banner, and joins them at the game to find out what footy is all about.
Nimit’s father is a master mariner, and he has always wanted to learn to sail. A perfect place for sailing is on Sydney Harbour, with its calm water, gentle breezes and gorgeous scenery. Nimit joins a group of backpackers for a lesson from Flying Fish Sailing School, and before you know it Nimit is at the helm of the yacht.
The guests who have been involved in Series One of My Australia have never met each other – until now. They wanted to get together and find out what each other have been doing. A barbecue in the park is the perfect setting to meet, eat and share stories. As well as trying Raymond’s homemade beer!
My Australia shows people from our region experiencing the real Australia.
Our guests come from all over Asia and the Pacific, and they are keen to get involved in new Australian challenges.
