William Lindesay, an Englishman, has been obsessed with the Great Wall in China since he first saw it on the map on the wall when he was 11 years old. In 1987, he traveled the entire length of the Great Wall, alone and on foot--a distance of more than 2,400 kilometers. This journey launched his research on the Great Wall, which has lasted more than two decades. Today, William has already become a well-known Great Wall expert with several published books introducing the Great Wall to the world.
