OYSTER FARMER is an intricate tale set in the oyster farming community on the Hawkesbury River. The film follows Jack Flange (Alex O'Lachlan) who crosses the law in a desperate attempt to help his sister (Claudia Harrison) who is severely injured from a car accident. Flange flees Sydney and finds work with Mumbles (Jim Norton) and Brownie (David Field) who believes his oyster difficulties are the result of his wife (Kerry Armstrong) leaving him. Flange settles into the oyster farming community only to discover that the package he sent himself has gone missing leaving Flange suspicious of everyone including his new girlfriend Pearl (Diana Glenn). Flange sets out to find who in the close-knit community has the treasured package.
