From an international career in movies and television as one of Australia's favourite personalities, Paul Mercurio now turns his attention to another of his passions - food. In Mercurio's Menu, Paul is tour host and resident cook, as he escorts viewers around Australia. Food production in all of its diversity will feature in the series, as Paul visits farms and producers of fresh food.

Canberra is the political centre of Australia. It's where all the big decisions to do with this great country happen. On top of this it boasts some wonderfully diverse produce such as Galloway beef, heritage apples, a plethora of home grown style fruit and vegetables, hazelnuts and some beautiful smoked meats. And today, Paul is going to take us there for a taste test.

Here's a question for you, which Australian town doesn't actually grow the fruit it's named after? The answer, Orange. It does however grow over 170 varieties of apples, berries, figs and stone fruit. But not an orange insight. It also has wild hare, delectable deer, awesome spuds, quality restaurants, great wine, good coffee and old fashioned country hospitality.
