Two students are pulled out by a flash rip. A swarm of bluebottles has invaded Kings Beach and lifesavers are slammed dealing with over 300 stings in one day. 7 year old Joseph goes missing in the water. He's an asthmatic and he can't swim.

A man goes for an early swim and isn't seen since. A search and rescue operation is launched but hopes are fading fast. A Chinese tourist collapses on the beach. And 100 metres from the flags a swimmer is caught in a rip and going under.

A huge storm has rolled in to Surfers Paradise and the swell is causing lifesavers major problems. Elsewhere a swimmer cracks his neck. Lifesavers fear a spinal injury. A man collapses at Manly of a suspected heart attack.
